Sam was LIFE; he was filled with energy, love and hope for better tomorrows. We are all so lost as to what could or did happen to cause the fight for him to diminish within the 7 hours they tried to talk him off the bridge. It came as such a shock I thought it was a big joke, and then I cried for this man who was bigger than life to me. He had such a big heart and always wanting to help someone, we had talked about doing some things in the coming year 2016 with the magazine.
To us he was truly a Boss Mann. His life has been of many accomplishments and struggles, he has crossed barriers that a lot people thought would not be crossed fashion wise and cultural wise. He was a ball of ideas and possibilities. My heart aches and goes out to his family, more than anything for him to have felt the way he did to end it all in that way.
It’s always hard when it is someone you know on a personal level or business. But I will move into the year with honoring him and what he stood for and remembering something he told me one time. Never let go of your dreams editor, push and push until the door falls off the hinge. That is the memory I will carry with me and hold on to. Forever because that was the life in him he exuberated.
Peace and Blessings my friend
